This project was an extension of a project previously completed by the CWA in 2001. The landowner had another small field that he wanted fenced. This completed all streamside fencing on this landowner’s property. The project consisted of fencing approximately .62 miles (3200 feet) of riparian with a three strand electric fence (3.78 acres of riparian). The landowner has several cows as well as donkeys and horses within the project area. The CWA also installed a stick watering system that included a gas pump and a 300 gallon stock tank. The landowner assisted with installing the wood posts and will complete all fence and stock water maintenance for the life of the project. Since the completion of this project, the landowner has shown excellent cooperation by maintaining the grass along the fence line and general fence maintenance.

Furthermore, the CWA planted a mixture of hardwoods along the stream, and the landowner has taken responsibility for helping to maintain the trees as well.
