Dutch John Creek Fish Passage Project

Follow time progression across rows of the same area within the Dutch John Creek project, which is located at the old Georgia Pacific Mill site across hwy 42 in Coquille.
Background: Dutch John Creek is a tributary to the mainstem Coquille River at about river mile 25. Historically, the lower end of the stream was buried in culverts under the old G.P. mill site. Anadromous fish passage has been blocked since the mill site was constructed. The City of Coquille, in summer 1997, re-opened the creek from Hwy 42 to the mouth as part of a mitigation project.
Purpose: This project was implemented to improve passage from the newly constructed creek channel to the upper reaches of Dutch John Creek above Hwy 42.
